My name is Amanda, and I have 31 years' primary teaching experience. I am also a qualified dyslexia teacher with the British Dyslexia Association. For the last 11 years, I have been a Specialist Literacy Teacher, supporting children who find literacy challenging.
I have experience teaching children with a variety of needs, including dyslexia, autism, school-based anxiety, dyspraxia, Developmental Language Disorder (DLD), and autonomy-seeking behaviours. I am passionate about creating positive, supportive learning environments where every child feels valued and successful.
My years in the classroom have taught me that connection is just as important as content—an ethos I bring to every tutoring session.
